Who better to design a laptop bag for women than…
er… a woman?

Tana Gudbranson was in charge of marketing at a leading U.S. laptop case manufacturer when she realized there weren’t any stylish, luxury laptop bags designed for women. All the products looked like they had been put together for an IRS inspector. After two years of having her idea to develop a women’s line rejected from the company, she decided to leave and do it on her own.

This prompted Tana to set about producing designs and sketches for contemporary laptop bags that draw on the classic style of European sophistication summed up by the movies of Audrey Hepburn, Ursula Andress and that whole haut couture scene of the late 1950’s. Tana loves the inspiration provided by classic films like Breakfast at Tiffany’s, To Catch a Thief and James Bond’s Dr. No. The result was Gudi Bags – a company that designs a range of gorgeous laptop bags that positively ooze style and sophistication.

Tana is the sole owner of Gudi Inc as well as being a doting mother to Jax: her 5 year old son. The Gudi name – pronounced “goody” – came about because friends found Gudbranson too long to handle… so they shortened it to Gudi.
